Term Two Requirements
Congratulations to those of you who submitted all Term One work on time. You are well on your way to completing your Graduation Transitions Program! Term One required you to maintain a Daily Physical Activity log (paper or online), unless you are enrolled in and passing a Senior PE course (not Leadership) or Dance course. Many of you have kept your DPA logging up to date. Thank you! Your Healthy Living Plan was also due at the end of November. Thanks to those of you who completed this on time. Those of you who have not yet completed this assignment, you still need to do so. Check the Career Centre for a copy of the booklet, or download one from the CHSS website.
For Term Two, if you are logging DPA minutes online, you will notice that your log no longer exists. That is because I have approved your minutes for the first report card. All you need to do is begin a second term log, and maintain it until February. If you are logging your DPA minutes on a paper calendar, please submit your November calendar now, and pick up or download a copy of the December calendar.
Finally, your Transition Plan is due by the end of second term, on or before February 26th, 2014. This document is either an update of your Planning 10 Career Research Project, or a completion of the Transition Plan booklet, which you can pick up from the Career Center or download from the website. In addition to the booklet, you need to include an updated resume.
Some of you have not yet completed your 30 Hours of Work Experience. If you need help setting up a work experience opportunity, please come see me or Ms. Jackson in the Career Centre soon. Remember that if you have a part-time job, you can use your job experience to fulfil this requirement. You just need to fill out (and have your employer fill out) the verification booklet which can be picked up in the Career Centre.
If you have any questions, please email me or come visit me in the Career Centre during my office hours, stated in the top right corner of this page.
